High-Performance Polymer Research: Roboze and Tor Vergata University of Rome Launch New Collaboration

Research, innovation, and additive manufacturing at the heart of the industry-university agreement to develop advanced PEEK-based materials

Roboze, the technology company building the manufacturing infrastructure for the world's most strategic industries, announces the signing of a scientific collaboration agreement with the Department of Enterprise Engineering “Mario Lucertini” at Tor Vergata University of Rome.

The agreement aims to launch joint research activities in the field of innovative PEEK-based materials and high-performance thermoplastic matrices, with a particular focus on the development and characterization of 3D printing filaments for advanced components used in strategic industrial sectors, including aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and defense.

The three-year collaboration is based on a model of scientific reciprocity and may include the development of innovative composite materials, experimental and characterization activities, as well as the organization of workshops, internships, degree theses, and joint PhD programs. Looking ahead, the parties will also evaluate the possibility of establishing a joint laboratory or a dedicated spin-off.

The academic community has also emphasized the value of the agreement.
