Roboze 3D Parts Center Network: the experience of Fluorten

Implementing 3D printing solutions in your company with Roboze

Fluorten was founded in 1966 and deals with the production of technical items in PTFE, from raw material to mechanical processing. In the mid-1980s, it implemented an additional service, that is the transformation, by injection molding, of technical and fluorinated techno polymers with molds designed and manufactured internally. Currently, thanks to the technical application and transformation skills acquired over the years for high-performance techno polymers, such as PEEK, Fluorten has decided to support Roboze's goal of bringing manufacturing back to the point of use and becomes a Roboze 3D Parts Certified Center.

The advantages of the Roboze 3D Parts Center global network

The continuous investments in the production and technical fields, the tight-knit team and the search for highly specialized personnel have allowed to offer cutting-edge services, in line with customer needs, consolidating its presence in the industrial manufacturing market, creating a fast track in response to the high selection requirements of the 3D Parts network and in support of the Roboze Distributed Manufacturing model.

What does Fluorten do?

The Fluorten offering allows us to meet the demands of different sectors, responding to very specific technical-production needs and operating following strict development procedures. The analysis carried out before making each individual product guarantees high quality standards to meet mandatory obligations such as those deriving from the EN 9100 standard.

Fluorten operates in sectors ranging from Aerospace to Oil & Gas, where volumes are low and the necessary skills require continuous updates and constant growth.

For more than 50 years, Fluorten has been using injection molding and CNC machines to manufacture parts, but despite the efficiency of traditional manufacturing, it has always been looking for alternative manufacturing solutions to optimize its offer.

The potential of Roboze 3D printing

Understanding the development potential of Roboze 3D printing and the level of innovation of ARGO additive manufacturing systems, Fluorten has decided to invest in this new technology to expand its offer thus having high-performance materials and efficiently realize complex geometries and parts that respond to the most extreme tests required by the specific sectors.

Fluorten enthusiastically accepted the challenge represented by a new technology and thanks to the technical and commercial support of the Roboze team, it immediately obtained a customized solution suited to its needs.

"Although the implementation of a Roboze 3D printing system was initially evaluated only for prototyping operations, this new production technology has proved suitable for increasing the offer also for the production of finished parts." says Francesco Noci, Marketing Manager of Fluorten.

The use of Roboze ARGO 500 has in fact allowed to create individual components, but also small-volume productions, using high-performance polymers such as PEEK and CARBON PEEK, reducing production costs associated with the creation of molds for prototyping and producing functional finished parts in significantly reduced times; now, in fact, we no longer speak of days or weeks, as in the case of injection molding, but of hours.

Fluorten immediately noted the significant impact of Roboze 3D printing on industrial manufacturing and on the digitization of production and predicts that in the coming years the results that this technology is already offering to its end customers will give more and more awareness to those who want to revolutionize the whole concept of production.

Fluorten aims at growth and expansion by focusing on cutting-edge production methods, to face the challenges of the sector and offer new opportunities for the industry of the future and has decided to invest by integrating Roboze 3D printing systems and becoming part of the 3D Parts network to offer an even broader portfolio of services ensuring maximum reliability and production standards that meet customer expectations.

In times of uncertainty, local, On demand and Just in time manufacturing is the most effective solution for companies to mitigate risk while offering the ability to innovate by moving to a new digital supply chain.
From product development to product maintenance, Roboze 3D Parts can help reduce costs and time to get parts on demand.
