Formnext 2019: Roboze introduces a new amorphous filament with incredible performances

5 November 2019

Working on a collaboration involving research and marketing, ROBOZE will introduce in the Additive Manufacturing world a new amorphous filament with the highest performances, ever seen on 3D printing systems: SABIC's EXTEM™ AMHH811F filament.

With excellent flame retardant properties and great dimensional stability, this thermoplastic polyimide filament, developed on the SABIC’s EXTEM™ resin, is available on ROBOZE ARGO Production 3D Printers.

EXTEM™ AMHH811F, the highest heat performing amorphous filament, is ideal for industrial sectors like Space and Aeronautics, Automotive and Motorsport, Electronics and Consumer Goods Industries: some practical examples are the thermal shields for cars, the electronics for electrical vehicles or the assembly of customized sensors. It has gained the UL Blue Card recognition with V0-075 certification on samples printed by ARGO systems with a thickness of 0,75 mm. This certification puts on the same regulatory level parts printed with FFF technology as the parts produced with traditional manufacturing like injection moulding. The material is RoHS compliant and halogen free, according to VDE / DIN 472 part 815.

The collaboration between Roboze and SABIC contributes to a continuous evolution of the FFF 3D printing technology, aiming at replacing metals in extreme applications, and benefits the entire additive manufacturing market.

From 19th to 22nd of November, Messe Frankfurt, booth 12.1-C61.
