Roboze, manufacturer of professional 3d printing solutions for rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing applications, announces today that they have successfully delivered their flag ship product – the Roboze One+400 Industrial 3d printer – to Cyclone, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems, which is a leading international technology company publically trading on the NASDAQ (ESLT).

Elbit Systems is one of the largest homeland security companies in Israel that develops and supplies a vast portfolio of airborne, land and naval systems, as well as products for defense and commercial aviation applications. The company's primary activities include military aircraft and helicopter systems, unmanned aircrafts and surface vessels, commercial aviation systems, aerostructures and more.

The Cyclone division, which is located in Carmiel, Israel, serves as Elbit Systems' design and production center for metal and composite structural aircraft components and parts for leading aerospace companies and OEMs. Their high quality production has made them the preferred supplier of Aviation titans such as Boeing, McDonnell and Bell Helicopter.

Over the past several years, Cyclone has successfully used various 3d printing technologies to improve their design and R&D processes. As a consequence, Cyclone established the AATiD consortium in 2015 with the support of the Israeli Office of Chief Scientist (OCS). The consortium's goal is to develop advanced technologies for the design and 3D printing of optimized complex aero-structures with Ti-6Al-4V alloy material.

The arrival of the Roboze One+400 aims to substantially upgrade the company's capabilities to produce durable parts from advanced materials, and will also help them demonstrate additive manufacturing of metallic aero-components. This will open the door for brand new innovations for additive manufacturing and metal component replacement applications. The use of industrial-grade materials like PEEK, PEI and CARBON-PA will enable Cyclone to use 3d printed parts for extreme environmental testing and advanced end-use applications.

“Today is a very exciting day for us, as we provide our most powerful 3d printing technology to a leading homeland security company in Israel” Said Gil Lavi, Roboze's VP Sales & Business Development.“Elbit's line of business covers a wide range of advanced technological solutions, which are traditionally innovative by their nature. Our Roboze One+400 Industrial 3d printer will help Elbit to reduce costs, shorten development steps and make manufacturing more agile” Added Lavi. “Global large high technological companies like Elbit are looking ahead, understanding 3d printing will change manufacturing as they know it today. There for, acquiring advanced capabilities, with a focus on high thermoplastic materials, is necessary to stay ahead of the market“ Concluded Lavi.
